Mission
"Rumah Harapan" is Indonesian for "House of Hope" and that is exactly what the foundation stands for. In Indonesia, many families and individuals struggle to make ends meet financially and especially the children suffer. Rumah Harapan's goal is to offer hope from a Christian identity in these sometimes hopeless situations.
The foundation makes money available for the poorest of the Indonesian population, but it also contributes to the construction of school buildings, the purchase of school supplies and the financing of packed lunches and uniforms of the school children.
To maintain the relationship between the Netherlands and the office in Indonesia, meetings and trainings are organized on a weekly basis.
If possible we also travel to the various locations to create a bond with the local population and to be able to better see which needs the foundation can offer a helping hand.
Vision
From the vision that everyone has the right to a hopeful future, the Reseda Foundation in the coming years in cooperation with the Imahaka Foundation and Rumah Harapan Foundation want to make a greater contribution to the development and construction of new initiatives that benefit the Indonesian population.
This may include the purchase of land for the construction of schools, but also for houses and offices. In addition, the possibilities for creating employment in the form of "pondok", small stores, are examined.
The goal is to support the local population to eventually live as self-sufficiently as possible.
Because education plays a major role in this, there will also be invested in creating opportunities for Indonesian students to come to the Netherlands and enjoy an education here.

It means: Faith Hope and Love

Purpose of Establishment: Take part in the community in order to be able to contribute significantly to human change that leads to the knowledge of Jesus Christ and His fullness.
